Are You Ready for Spring?


Spring is finally here! Here are healthy ways to enjoy the much anticipated great weather.

Soak up some Vitamin D!

During the winter it is important to take a vitamin d supplement but now that the sun is shining, get out there and get your dose from the sun!

Go on a hike- or call it a scavenger hunt to make it interesting for the kids.

Walk to the store or park- now that the weather is nice leave the car behind.

Start a new hobby- bike riding, skating and scooting are all fun activities to get the kids moving while soaking up the sun.

Sweat- sweating releases toxins from your body, whether you are exercising, working in the garden or in a sauna your body will benefit from the much needed detox.

Fast- fasting gives your metabolism a much needed break giving your body a chance to breakdown toxins. There are many ways to fast and they are not recommended for people with certain medical issues so do your research to find what's best for you.

Honey- did you know that consuming locally harvested honey is a great way to fend off seasonal allergies? Google local or honey or visit your local farmers market to find local honey. Honey tastes great in your breakfast, tea, smoothie and just about anything!
